Adobe Acrobat is newest TV star with own online channel

While the debut of the Acrobat channel isn't likely to send your favorite television show plummeting in the weekly viewership ratings, there is a new star on the small screen that may be at least as appealing to--and useful for--members of to the Acrobatusers.com community as many of the regularly scheduled programs.

As Joel Geraci, Acrobat Technical Evangelist at Adobe Systems, notes in his PDF Developer Junkie blog (one of two he hosts on Adobe.com): "Acrobat channel now on Adobe TV!"

Now this IS reality TV--at least for those who like to learn from the experiences of others and from the advice of various experts. But it isn't network, cable or satellite television programming, mind you. The Acrobat channel is one of the numerous product-oriented areas within Flash-based Adobe TV, accessible only online. Adobe TV can be viewed within your Web browser or by using the Adobe Media Player. The channel currently features assorted customer stories, and a range of Acrobat 9 tips and tricks. Geraci writes that he'll soon be contributing some developer and power-user programming presentations to the Acrobat channel. Surf over for a look, and then stay tuned for future enhancements. You can also explore channels dedicated to many other Adobe products.

NOTE: Geraci also posts on other topics of interest to Information Technology managers and Acrobat power users on his IT Matters blog.
