About me
Dimitri Munkirs is an Acrobat expert at Windjack Solutions, a provider of custom Acrobat JavaScript training and consulting.
How I Use Acrobat
I make my living with Acrobat since I work for a company that develops solutions for Acrobat and PDF. So of course I use Acrobat on a regular basis for tasks such as testing out ideas, testing our Acrobat plug-in software and creating test documents. I also use Acrobat on a daily basis for routine business tasks such as creating invoices, commenting on articles and written correspondence, and for answering questions at the Ask an Expert page on AcrobatUsers.com. It has a consistent and persistent presence in my taskbar.
My Skills
One of my strengths with Acrobat is my ability to find information out about it as needed for our customers, the Acrobat User Community, and for our own internal use since it is the focus of our business. I routinely use the Acrobat Help documents, the Adobe web site User to User forums, Knowledge Base, Blogs, many other PDF industry web sites, and last but not least my friend Ted Padova’s Acrobat Bible book (OK, I own several other Acrobat and PDF books but this is the best reference) to keep up with all things PDF related. On a user basis, my skills are pretty broad but not necessarily in-depth in any one area. I create PDF documents and forms, add interactivity, use custom toolbar buttons, and have been through or used most of the Menu Items (and that’s a LOT!). I read, read, read about Adobe, Acrobat, and PDF and that has been a huge help in broadening my own knowledge base on Acrobat and the PDF format.
