About me
30+ years experience as a primary school teacher and school principal in country New South Wales Australia.
Mac fanatic; build & maintain websites; use CS2 suite to produce, typeset and manage publications produced by the Centre.
Ordained as a deacon in the Anglican Church of Australia in 1997. 5 Years as Child Protection Education Officer in Ang. Diocese of Canberra & Goulburn. 5 years to present as Publications and IT Officer with St Mark's which is part of the School of Theology of Charles Sturt University.
Married to Jan for 39 years. 2 married children. 2 grandchildren.
How I Use Acrobat
All publications are sent to print shops using either Acro 7 or Acro 8, depending on which computer I'm on, to provide fully press-ready documents.
I use Acrobat to convert paper forms to electronic ones; distribute newsletters via the web; emailing photos to colleagues, students; to scan and OCR documents for other staff; to build forms, when necessary.
My Skills
Reasonable knowledge of Apple's Mac operating systems but hazy on Unix; bought my first Mac in 1984; rescuing the documents of theologians from the scrap heap (Windows or MacOSX); page layout and design; management of publication production; web page curation; web site construction and management; BEc, MMin
