About me
In addition to previously working as editor and writer for both PDFZone and Planet PDF, I also managed the e-mail discussion lists and forums respectively for the two sites. Those experiences provided a great opportunity to get to know and understand the global Acrobat and PDF community. I've also covered many of the industry conferences and events targeted at this community during the technology's first decade-plus, and interviewed many key Adobe staff who've played a key role in developing and enhancing Acrobat/PDF. Currently I'm the editor of AcrobatUsers.com.
How I Use Acrobat
I use Acrobat and PDF professionally for conducting shared reviews of articles I write for this site, as well as those submitted by expert contributors. I also use them in conjunction with a number of personal interests, including the management of a couple local tennis teams. And I download LOTS of PDF files, sometimes for the informational content and other times for reviewing a particularly interesting or useful way someone has used the format (and which may end up being featured in my blog).
My Skills
I worked professionally as a photographer for more than 20 years, and as cameras and computers began to merge, I became interested in the changing technologies of publishing. I was intrigued when I first heard about the concept behind Acrobat and the portable document format, and gradually began working with it and evangelizing about it to others.
