About me
A Slightly used PDF evangelist, trying to make my way through the transition my new world of SaaS, Wiki and Flash. I have experience in PDF manipulation and conversion, color management, image processing, Photoshop and Illustrator and web design. Trained as a Medical Illustrator, I got distracted by PostScript, then PDF and suddenly discovered few people understood much about files formats and images, so I began explaining how I used these new tools. Suddenly, I found myself speaking at conferences about prepress PDF for AGFA.
How I Use Acrobat
I started using it in 1994 as a way to protect our pre-press team from customers bad postscript files made from quark and page maker files. In 1996, I spoke at conferences on AGFA's behalf explaining why they used it as their internal intermediate file format for our plate setters in Agfa Apogee. Today, I used it to exchange a scrapbooking file, a Post Card with a PURL, a web page design and a recipe for sweet potato pie.
My Skills
I can explain complex things and make people giggle.
Jahn - rhymes with Moron.
