All 3D PDF files are hollow, we do not transfer the

Solid

data but rather the faceted face data. Most 3D viewers do this but they will cap the open area as they cut a section.  And by Default DXF in not 3D but wireframe. AutoDesk did release 3D DXF but it was not well accepted by the community.
