When I create a PDF from scanner the document it is very light. Is there a way to darken it?

You need to darken the scan with the scanner controls. Under Create PDF from Scan in Acrobat 8 make sure you show scanners native interface under Scanner options button. Darken the scan and adjust contrast with the scanner native tools before you scan.
