Interactive, 3D BOM using CAD-data from adidas AG. The CAD model is linked to an Excel data sheet which allows users to retrieve production-relevant information by simply clicking on the desired part in 3D. The XML data sheet is added as an attachment to the PDF and therefore can be easily edited with any spreadsheet application and exchanged via Acrobat. The original, triangulated CAD-data has been compressed without loss in visual quality from 200MBs to a 12MB pdf file.

A couple of years ago someone invented the greeblebox to show the power of global illumination. Its name comes from a 3D Studio Max plugin called Greeble, which is used for face extrusions.
