January 2008

January kicks off Topic of the Month with Acrobat Forms

Beginning this month we’ve introducing a new Topic of the Month feature to AcrobatUsers.com to provide more information around areas of interest in and around Acrobat. Visit the homepage to find a variety of content related to the theme of "Getting Started with Acrobat Forms." You can also view all of the month's resources on a single AUC Topic of the Month page.

The January collection includes forms-related tutorials, videos, targeted eSeminar, a Q&A with experts and timely promotions. On January 23, Lori DeFurio of Adobe Systems will lead the first online, interactive event. Register and attend her free eSeminar and be entered to win an Apple iPod or a copy of Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. Topics being covered include:

  • Converting paper forms to electronic, fillable forms
  • Using the automatic form field recognition tool to easily turn Word and Excel forms into fillable PDF forms
  • Sending your form via e-mail
  • Collecting and combining responses
  • Exporting forms data to a spreadsheet

Hope to see you there, and then watch for a new eSeminar each month!

Best Regards
~ Kurt, Editor, AcrobatUsers.com

Merger of Ask an Expert section with Forums
We’ve merged our Ask an Expert area with our Forums to simplify the process of seeking and receiving help. All AAE content is has been merged into the Forum format, and the Forums now have some additional features, including the ability to rate responses and to add additional product details when posting a product question. In an expansion of the experts concept, during the coming months we'll be adding the ability for anyone to become a forum expert by earning points through participation. Watch for that!
