February 2008
Creating PDF Packages
In January we hosted the first in our series of free, monthly eSeminars, each covering a specific Acrobat-related topic. As with many out-of-the-gate experiences, last month’s session on “Getting Started with Acrobat Forms” by Lori DeFurio didn’t quite qualify as flawlessin part because preregistration exceeded what had been expected. After we resolved a few technical glitches, the event took place an hour later than expected. We then added two additional repeat sessions to accommodate folks unable to attend the first. For those of you who weren't able to join us for one of the live events, you may want to view an archived version.
We anticipate smooth sailing with the upcoming interactive eSeminar for February on “Creating PDF Packages” by Tim Huff. Slated for 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST) on Wednesday, February 13, the one-hour session will cover:
- Why use PDF Packages
- Combining PDFs from multiple applications
- Minimizing file size
- Creating a package coversheet
- Including password protection, digital signatures
- Searching in packages
Register now to watch and participateyou’ll be able to ask questions via the Chat pod in Acrobat Connect. You'll also be able to get advice on combining files and creating PDF Packages from Acrobat experts Donna Baker and Tim Plumer, who will be on hand in the forums from February 13-29 to answer your questions.
Hope to see you there, and then watch for a new eSeminar each month!
Best Regards
~ Kurt, Editor, AcrobatUsers.com
