I work for a manufacturing company and we use Excel to track a lot of our sales order information. I have created an Excel form that allows us to copy a line from our production schedule (one workbook), paste it and use reference formulas to have it fill in all relevant information into a job packet cover sheet.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed before but I'm new and have tried searching but all of the results I find are in the LiveCycle forum and I have Acrobat Pro.

I want to simply change a text field based on a drop down. This sample code was suggested in the LiveCycle forum, but doesn't work in my change action tab. Can it be modified to work in Acrobat? If so, how?

What are the error percent of Acrobats autodetect form?

Just to check if I don't do anything wrong with my forms when creating them, but how often does your Acrobat autodetect wrong fields? Especially radiobuttons and checkboxes.

For me, textfields are always ok, but when it comes to radiobuttons, when I have more than 3, it messes up my form and starts to connect with other radiobuttons groups.

Auto Date Field and Lockdown

I have read several threads, but none that have successfully helped with my issue.
Using Adobe Adrobat 9 Pro 9.0

I have a form that I would like the date field to auto update with "Today" date when opened.
When the form is signed/saved I need this date field locked down so when it is opened a day/year later is shows the original date the form was opened and signed.

I set up a form with multiple date fields. I formatted all of them as mm/dd/yyyy format.

When I went to test the fields, some of them allow me to enter 8 number, for example 12132011 and it formats it to 12/13/2011

In other instances, if I enter the string of numbers without the '/', it rejects the entry and says it must be entered as mm/dd/yyyy.

OK I'm thinking this should be simple...

A4 letterhead created in Quark and saved as a pdf has a text field to allow client to copy and paste from word doc. Text is formatted - helvetica 10pt left - clean and simple. There's a submit button with action that saves and prints each time the client wishes to send a letter - in effect this is a master letter pdf.

I'm just wondering if all form fields created in Acrobat have be square or rectangular only. I'm hoping I can create a custom shape. Any chance of this?

Hi, this is what I've got so far.

The formula I have puts a value into a box, if a check box is ticked. What I need to do is have it add up multiple values, if several boxes are ticked.

if (getField("1stBox").value=="Yes")
event.value = getField("M").value;
else event.value = "0"

So I need to say
Also check
"PBox" (a check box)
and add "PValue" (a pre-determined number)

undefined JavaScript error on form fields possibly because PDF not fully loaded?

I have a form that transfer content from one half to the other. Users enter values in the top half, move\scroll down the PDF (past the second half of the form) and then press a 'Collect' button that transfers values from the top half of the form to the bottom.
