Hi--

Im new to Acrobat Pro Extended/LiveCycle Designer ES and was wondering if there was a writeup or tutorial for this sample posted in the gallery:
http://www.acrobatusers.com/gallery/3d_gallery

I think Im close to understanding how these documents and forms are created....but am having trouble understanding the relationship between creating LiveCycle templates (.tds) and 3D PDF documents.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

thx

If you want 3D objects in your form, you'll either need to create your form in Acrobat (not Designer) or import a 3D PDF into LiveCycle Designer (v8) using the "Create an Interactive Form with Fixed Pages" option. Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8 can import PDF files as background artwork, so that form fields can be applied while retaining the layout of the original PDF file. When a PDF file is imported in this way, 3D objects are retained and viewable in Acrobat 8. However, if a PDF file is imported as a dynamic form using the "Create an Interactive Form with a Flowable layout" option, 3D objects are removed from the resulting form.

Thanks much for the answer. It's been a while since I posted and have since figured out the process and workflow using Designer, 3D Reviewer, etc.

Thanks again,
