Dear Expert,
I am novice to acrobat3d and PRC formats. The question is
I have 3d data available in Sql Server database. Now I want to represent that data in PRC format so that I can generate pdf out of it. Is there any third party tool that takes 3d data and converts it to prc format. or what is the best way. Any information on this would be highly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Narasimha Prasad Baditela.
You didn't say what the format of the 3D data in your SQL database is, but, assuming it is B-rep CAD data, the answer is almost certainly "yes". You should be able to convert the data to PDF/PRC by simply selecting "PRC B-rep" from the import tab. If yu are uncertain about how to convert the data to PDF, just go to Create PDF -> From File and search for the data (part or assembly), select it and the conversion process will proceed automatically to some tabs that will allow you to convert to PRC. If your question involves batch conversion of a large number of files, here is a link to a recent blog article I did on how to do the conversion: http://blogs.adobe.com/dougatadobeplm/.
I hope this helps.
