CATIA V5 FTA Datum missing after converting to PDF.

Created a CATIA V5R19 SP5 CATPart with PMI using the FTA module in CATIA. Datums were created in association with one face of the solid model. But when the CATIA model is converted to 3D PDF, the Datum is missing. Although it can be seen in the tree, the datum does not appear even when enabled to show (from the tree). The name is changed to 'markup' and the tree symbol is different from dimensions and text (annotation).

Would like to know if there is a way or settings that needs to be done to rectify the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever get a resolution to this issue? I am having a similar issue but with ProEngineer.

Thanks

Check out www.anark.com. We have CATIA and Pro/E importers that are different than the ones supplied by Adobe (in version 9) and Tetra4D (for version 10).

If you want more info, please feel free to send me a private message.

You may want to try converting to 3D PDF with Acrobat X Pro and 3D PDF Converter from Tetra 4D. You can use the 21 day free trial to see if it solves the problem. The 3D conversion technology from Tetra 4D is the same code base as the converters shipped with Acrobat 9 Pro Extended but has been updated to fix problems like the one you are encountering. It also supports several new formats and revisions like Catia V5 R20, Inventor 2011, and Solidworks ST3.

You can download a free trial of both applications here: http://www.tetra4d.com/free-trial.php

Also - if the problem is not solved, we would love to have a copy of the file(s) that show the problem so we can fix it. You can submit a support ticket here http://www.tetra4d.com/product-support.php or just email us at support [at] tetra4d [dot] com and attach the file to the email.
