I have a problem .. that is I need to convert a .iv file(open inventor) into a file recognised by 3d max.

ON the internet I have heard that Adobe Acrobat 8 and Adobe Acrobat tool kit can do this.

If some body could verify this I would be very grateful

thanks

Acrobat 3D version 8 can export 3D information to the STEP, IGES, Parasolid and VRML formats. It does read Inventor files, so if 3DS MAX reads any of those formats, you should be able to do what you want.
