I am creating user documentation from a .step file and I am showing a component turning like a screwdriver. Does anyone know how to import a JPEG of an arrow into an Acrobat 3D u3d file so I can show the direction it is turning? I tried merging a JPEG into a .step file, but it doesn't work and I can't find any other way to create elements like arrows, lines, boxes, circles, etc. in the actual application itself.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Bonjour !

Do not know if this will answer your question but....

You can try to use the 'stamps' tools from Acrobat 3D 8 (A3D8) :
the main idea is to create a 'custom stamp' with your jpeg.

Go to :
Tools -> comment & markup->Stamps->create custom stamp-> select an image (extension jpg) then put the new stamp in a category (Dynamic,Sign here or Standard business)Once the new stamp is created, you will find it the category you have choosen
-> tools->comment & markup->Stamps-> then choose dynamic or sign here or standard businessthen apply your stamp on your document (it will be stored as 'comment.view').

Hope this will be helpful
