I do not see a way to change the default model view in toolkit. I set a new camera with the view I want, Label it default view in model view but my model always comes in with a view I did not make. When I bring the model into a pdf and select use model views it still comes in with the view I did not make. There must be a way to do this. Thanks

Hello,
I had the same problem, and I found this in an other forum, but I donĀ“t know which one it was.

"Go to Tools > Advanced Editing > 3D Tool. Double-click on the 3d annotation. In the 3D Properties panel, click on the "Edit Content..." button. In the Add 3D Content panel, click on the radio button next to "Retrive poster from default view" and click OK. Click OK to exit the 3D Properties panel. Your poster image should now be updated to your default view. Make sure to save the file with this change."Maybe it helps you.

Thanks. I know how to do get the pdf to see the default view. What I want to do is change the default view. It would seem that this needs to be done in 3D toolkit. But how?

Hi,
have you tried the viewer drop down in Toolkit? It's normally hidden in top left hand corner of active window. Mouse over, right click, sellect required drop down.

You can do it in 3D Reader as well. Click on the views pulldown. Go to Manage veiws, from there you can rename, set, and delete views.

Thanks. The view pull down menu worked for changing the default view, but man they sure did a good job of hiding it. I would have never found it. Thanks. Had to toggle it in reader to load model views and use the default.
