Hi,

I tried downloading the trial for Acrobat 3D off adobe.com - I installed Acrobat 3D, but immediately told me I need to buy and activate - no trial!

I tried calling customer support but they were no help - the woman in the Indian call center told me to uninstall/reinstall... same results (and an hour of my time wasted)

The online chat support guy told me try asking in a forum.... (which pretty much means "I don't know, go ask someone else)

anyone else run into this problem?

the only strange thing that happened was that it failed to de-activate the previous installation of Acrobat 8.0 Pro (error code 194:1) which was installed as part of CS v2.3

My Product Information:
Acrobat 3D 8.0, Windows

I have seen this happen - it happened to me. It happened because on my testing machine I had installed a previous trial version of Acro 8 Pro and the trial ran out, then I uninstalled it and forgot about ever installing it. Here's a question, can you still run the other Acro 8 on that machine? Typically - pretty sure- it has to uninstall previous versions to install the new version. In the install process it comes up with a screen in the dialog box that says so.

no, acrobat 3D uninstalled Pro 8.0 before it installed itself
