Hello,
I am trying to open a U3D file that was saved from Toolkit in Acrobat 3d 7.1, and it is saying that the file is not supported..?? I have read that there may be some problems with running Version 7 on a Vista machine, but would this be one of them?
I am just confused on why Acrobat wont open a file that is from a sister program. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

One possibility: Acrobat cannot open anything except PDFs. If you want to see the U3D file in Acrobat, you need to convert it to PDF using the 'Create PDF from file' option.

Another possibility:
Are you sure it isn't Acrobat 3D Toolkit version 8.1? We released an Acrobat 3D Version 7 that was built on Acrobat Professional 7.0.7, not 7.1. But perhaps there was an update to 7.1.

Acrobat 8 and Toolkit 8 both have two options for U3D output, U3D ECMA 1 and U3D ECMA 3. U3D ECMA 3 was not an option in version 7 and was added in Version 8.
