Hello Forum, we have problem!
I am embedding 3D images into my pdf files. Their initial orientation needs to be adjusted to look right and I have no problem with the creation of a desired default image. The problem comes when I want to save the document for onward transmission or when I want to print it with the the new default images - they simply revert to thier original import orientation. Can someone tell me how to 'freeze' the new default orientations so that the resulting document 'looks as I want it to look' when someone else opens it in Reader and cannot see what I have set up. Even if I could print the doc when it looks right, it would be an improvement. I have tried 'printing a pdf to pdf' and A9 does not like that at all.
The poster is created from the default view embedded in the original 3D file (NOT the default view set within Acrobat). You can only change that externally (such as via 3D Reviewer), or by manually rendering a scene, saving it as a bitmap and loading it as the poster image.
The default [u]active[/u] 3D view is set via the view menu on the 3D asset's popup toolbar - set up your scene, open "Manage Views",create a new view, select it, and press the "Use as default" button. Save the PDF and that view will always be shown when the asset is activated, but it [i]won't[/i] change the poster image.
