Texture Mapping from 3Ds Max to Acrobat Pro 9 Extended

I am a new user of 3ds Max and Acrobat. I make a 3D model from 3ds Max. When I import *.3ds file to Acrobat Pro 9 Extended, the texture mapping is lost. What is the problem of this? and How to solve it?

I am using 3ds Max Design 2011 and Acrobat Pro 9 Extended (Trial Version).

Several possible things:

1) 3DS is a DOS format, so all filenames must be in 8.3 style. If your texture is called "MyNewFabric.png" it'll be listed in the 3DS stream as "MYNEWF~1.PNG" and that's what Acrobat looks for.

2) Paths aren't stored, so all your textures have to be in the same folder as the 3DS file.

3) Procedural textures don't exist in Acrobat, so tiles, noise, etc. just won't work. Every texture has to be either a solid color or a bitmap image.

4) Layered textures aren't supported either, so composite materials won't work.
