Is it possible to add the functionality of the 3D_forms_interaction Tutorial to a custom Steps template in Designer. The 3D_forms_interaction tutorial requires you to choose the "default" script and my custom form can't be modified in Acrobat3D. Is there a way to set this "default Script" while in Designer?

Acrobat 3D 7.0.8, Windows

In this example there are two different files. A LiveCycle form and a 3D PDF. The 3D PDF is not a liveCycle form. It's an ordinary PDF with a 3D annotation on it. The bulk of the programming is done in the 3D annotation, not the LiveCyce Form.

In fact, 3D annotations and LiveCycle forms are practically incompatible. Even if a 3D PDF is used as background for an XFA form (Acrobat 8 only), the 3D scripting has to be added beforehand in Acrobat.

So the answer is no, at least for now, you can't modify the 3D Annot script in LiveCycle Designer. But, I believe you can create a LiveCycle template with an existing 3D PDF. You just have to set the script up before it's imported in to LiveCycle.
