Hi hitu,

Shift+Ctrl+Y should acrtivate the Read Out Loud functionality, but after activating it to use it to read aloud a PDF file you need to open the file, navigate to the page you want to read and do this-

Choose View > Read Out Loud > Read This Page Only or press Shift+Ctrl+V (Windows) or Shift+Command+V (Mac OS).or to read to the end of a multi page file-

Choose View > Read Out Loud > Read To End Of Document or press Shift+Ctrl+B (Windows) or Shift+Command+B (Mac OS).Hope this helps,

Hi Hitu,

If the PDF has not been tagged for accessibility I don't think the feature works at all. Is this a document you got from someone else or yours? You can add tags using Advanced > Accessibility > Add Tags To Document in Acrobat Pro.Hope this helps,
