Excel To PDF - sort and filter rows in PDF file

Hi,

we have an Excel file that is used by a group of defined users. Now we would like to publish this file for many users - if possible as PDF.

In Excel the users sort and filter the rows. We need this functionality in the published file as well. Is there a way (JavaScript...?) to create a sortable and filterable table in the PDF file?

Thanks for your answers!
Anne

You may want to post this again over in the JavaScript Forum.

If you want to follow the topic in the JavaScript Forum here is the link:

If there are other ways than JavaScript I am curious to learn about them as well!

Thanks!

Mahesh - only LiveCycle forms can connect to a database - see this blog post for info. There is no scriptable database facility in the Acrobat X Family. In previous versions we had a JavaScript engine called ADBC, but this has been removed.
