I am having trouble opening pdf files. I get the following statement: "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement." Can you tell me what this means, please? I would really like to read some important documents. Thank you!

I didn't see what version of Acrobat you were running. Is it Standard or Professional, or the Free Adobe Reader? Are you on Acrobat 9 or X?

Here are a few things to try in the meantime:

Open your files using File > Open inside Acrobat, instead of double-clicking them.

Launch Acrobat or Adobe Reader X, go to Edit > Preferences > General. Check the box Enable Protected Mode at startup.

Finally, there may be an issue when you have the text "CR" in the file or path name. Try renaming file/folder to get rid of the text "CR".
