Radio button accessibility

When I use Run Form Field Recognition to create a form in Acrobat 8.0 Prof, it will create radio buttons instead of check boxes for pairs such as Male/Female, Yes/No. As far as I can tell, I can't make separate Tooltips for each button so that a screenreader can differentiate the Yes from the No button. How do I make radio buttons accessible, or should I continue deleting the radio buttons and manually inserting check boxes instead?

So, by the resounding silence that met the question, I'm guessing the real answer is that Acrobat radio buttons aren't accessible to screen readers. Am I correct?

Radion Buttons can be accessible.

Radio buttons would be annotations. If nothing else, you can manually tag them. Then, manually enter AltTxt or Actual Text. This would be done with the TouchUp Reading Order tool and the Show Order/Tags panel.

Be well...
