Might you be able to provide more detail about what it is you are trying to accomplish?

Keeping in mind that ROL is providing text-to-speech via a comparatively simple phonetic rendering
what you hear can and will be other than what you expect. Sometimes amusing, other times annoying.
Again, it is a "simple engine". Compound this with the installed Adobe Reader / Acrobat being localized
(e.g., in USA - language is eng-us) - simple phonetics for eng-us will be challenged by a word derived from another language.

Because ROL is directly processing the actual character string that is part of the page content there is no
practical means of doing "edits" (such as are possible in a word processor).
What you have with PDF is:
PDF's core is an advanced imaging model derived from the PostScript page description language and is based on a structured binary file format.

Two options come to mind.
#1.
Revisit the authoring file. Edit the name and spell it phonetically. Output a PDF. Hear how ROL renders the edit.
Trial and error until the name "sounds right". Of course, you do sacrifice correct spelling .#2.
On a trial copy of the PDF, use the TouchUp Text Tool. Edit each instance of the name to spell it phonetically.
Eventually, something will sound right. Again, you sacrifice spell...
