turn off accessability

Ever since I upgraded to Adobe reader 8 the accessability features have been turned on.
It was certainly not my intention to activate this function but I am unable to turn it off. I have tried to uninstall reader 8 and revert to older versions to no avail, Accessability features are still on. I've looked high and low in the preferneces section but still no joy.

PLease help
accessibility features turned on for my PC (home or work). It started on my home PC when I still had version 7 and continues now that I upgraded to version 8 (I thought I might have an option to turn this feature off when I upgraded, but no such luck). I don't have a true problem with this optimization, but it is annoying to have to wait for documents to open, etc. and not need this feature's capabilities.

My Product Information:
Reader 8, Windows

Hi rickholloway,

You can turn this off by choosing View -> Read Out Loud -> Deactivate Read Out Loud.Hope this helps,
Lori

your help did not help as Read out Load was not enabled. I tried enabling and then disableing it but to no avail.

Here is the link to what I see every time I open a pdf document:

I can't seem to get rid of it

I have the same problem. How do I turn off the very annoying accessability features?
