Dynamic Stamp For Shop Drawings

I am trying to create a dynamic stamp for shop drawing submittals. Having spent many hours googling, I am stumped with one thing: The stamp is all set up with all information in place and the dynamic time and date. My problem is that when I generate it as a stamp, it is no longer dynamic. Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.3.1, Windows

Hi jpeter,

Have you read "Dynamic Stamp Secrets" from the Learning Center here?

Hope this helps,

Once a stamp has been applied, it becomes completely static and will not update.
If you want fields that update, you should use regular form fields instead of a stamp.

What I'm tring to achieve is for the dynamic stamp to show time and date of the stamping. Once applied I want it to become static. I have read the information posted above and followed the steps but I think I'm missing something. Do I need to be able to write Java script? My skills in that field are very limited.

Hi all,

Not sure if this post is still active but I'll give it a go. I am creating a similar stamp for my company, but I want the stamp to show the employees name and the date.

I had it working yesterday, but I had to make a small change to the stamp image so I stupidly deleted everything and started from scratch. Now when I copy the dynamic text field from the adobe dynamic stamp (the one that says "By foozle at 8:50pm, Aug 26, 2004) it works fine, but as soon as I edit the custom calculation script or even rotate the field it loses the persons identity and just displayed the time and date.

Any ideas why?
