Abobe Acrobat Pro 9 - Disappearing Comments and Markups

Why do my markups and comments disappear from the screen the moment I move the cursor from the comment or markup? The comments and markups appears in the print but not on the screen.

Is this problem occurring at any view of the document? Under the Edit > Preferences > Commenting do you have "Ensure that pop-ups are visible as the document is scrolled" turned on?Was this document created by Acrobat or a different 3rd party tool? To check look under File > Properties > Description tab.

I have the preferences set as you stated.

The disappearing markups happen on documents created by my Acrobat Pro 9 on which I'm placing additional markups and comments.

I'm having the same problem and have been looking for an answer for 9 months! Have you found a solution to the problem??

What is your opacity and color set at for the comments that disappear? You can check this by right-clicking a comment and then selecting Properties from the context-sensitive menu.
