Acrobat 8 Typewriter Font Color

The 'typewriter' font color is red. How do I get it back to black? I understand that one cannot change the font from Courier. But somehow mine has changed to red and I would like to get it back to black. There does not seem to be any "straight forward" method to do this. Are we talking about a registry change?
Thanks.

Acrobat Pro 8, Windows

Hi lighthousetim,

You didn't mention "red" as the problem in your last post. This has been reported and a couple fixes mentioned in the Adobe user forums-

No one seems to know why this happens but you are not alone.

One of the fixes is a registry fix- be careful with that!

Hope that helps,

Hi Dimitri Munkirs,

My problem is similar to lighthousetim's. I too have the "red" issue. The link you provided actually brings me back to this page.

My Acrobat 8 indicates that it loses certain Typewriter editing ability, once the Typewriter is enabled in Reader.

Please help me find out how this be reversed or re-enabled.

Thank you,

Susan
