Acrobat 9 Pro hangs when sending for shared review

I have Acrobat 9 Pro, Lotus Notes 8.02, and am using a WEBDAV server for shared reviews.

Lotus Notes is set as the Windows XP default email client.

During the configuration process, write access is verified to the WEBDAV server folder. When I attempt to send a file or link for a shared review and enter my Lotus Notes email password, Acrobat 9 Pro hangs within 10 seconds of hitting Send and entering my Lotus Notes password.

I've waited up to 30 minutes for Acrobat to complete the process, but it never completes and remains in a hung state.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Are you able to successfully "Attach to Email" in Acrobat 9 using Lotus Notes? Was Acrobat installed under the same user account as Lotus Notes (i.e., single user mode and/or multiple user mode)?

Is your email address listed correctly under Edit > Preferences > Identity?

I cannot send a document for email review. Acrobat still locks and never recovers.

I can attach the pdf to an email from within Acrobat 9 (File --> Attach to Email). Simple attaching is routinely successful. My email address is in the Preferences -- > Identity section.Acrobat is installed under my Windows logon ID. My Windows logon ID (rickden) does not match my corporate Lotus Notes email ID (rickd).

Is there a requirement that my Windows logon name match my email name?

FYI...I don't log into a Windows domain, so there is not a DNSname (@.xxx.xxx.com) associated with my windows logon.

Thanks for your help.

I'm not too familiar with Lotus Notes but Acrobat does need to be installed using the same user account as Lotus Notes.
Have you tried doing a "Repair Acrobat Installation" from under the Help menu?

Although this technical note details a missing PDFMaker icon from Lotus Notes, which isn't your problem. It does explains a bit more about issues with installing in different modes in Lotus Notes.

Can you try testing with another email client like Outlook or Thunderbird?

My review environment includes a WebDAV server and XP desktops, but Outlook is the default email client. I have very few issues of this type and have around 250 users.

Some of my users are internal, using domain accounts. Those users have the same 'domain/user' account to log in to their desktop system and all internal server-based resources.

My outside users have static accounts on the sever (no domain/). Their desktop logins are different as well.

I'm using Acrobat 7 and try to get the 'review' function going. It worked well with Lotus Notes 6.x but the company moved to Notes 7. Here the problem starts, Notes is not recognized as 'the' email´program. Does anyone have a clue how to get it going again?

Are you using Acrobat 7 and Notes 7 or an upgraded version of Acrobat as well?
