We use the stamp tool on flattened documents with inside our software, however in 9 using the Comment and Mark up becomes unavailable.

In the other versions we were able to set the Preference in Adobe to Newwork Folder for service type and Administrator Provided Server Settings:

This has been removed, does anyone have a way to set this?

Thank you

Wanda

In A9 Browser-based review "initiation" is part the Shared-review process (not separate) and the Wizard is used to initiate the Shared-review process. These processes are then managed by the Review Tracker and you modify the settings under Edit > Preferences > Tracker. Unfortunately there is no way to automatically migrate settings from A8 to A9.

Thank you for the answer, it does not work for us. We are a Medical Software Company and the browser that holds the flattened file, does not show the Collaboration and Markup tools at all.

In Acorbat 8 this issue was fixed by the settings under Review as mentioned above.

In 9 those are removed and in the browser on a flattened file the tools do not exist, yet outside the browser on a flattened file pulled up straight into acrobat they are available.

I am trying to locate a way to be able to make the tools available to the acrobat with in the software browser.

Thank you

Can you see the Comments if you initiate a Shared Review? This is what triggers the comments to appear in the browser. Otherwise the command "Enable for Commenting and Analysis in Adobe Reader" only works when you open a PDF in Reader not when you open the PDF in a browser.

Morning,

I redid all the steps, but this still does not allow the Stamp Tool availablity with in our software browser.

The reason for the stamp tool need is that these are medical records, there for really can not be shared. Acrobat works with inside the software program, and must be Pro or standard.

The form is completed by a provider and saved to the network drive in chart, and is flattened also with in the program using Adobe PDF Printer. Until that point the stamp tool can be selected, after the flattening, the stamp tool can not be accessed at all, with in the program, which allows the records to stay secure.

Comments: show up for adding information but still no Stamp tool.

Does not appear to be possible to get the tool back in 9, for our use.

Thank you

I AM IN THE PROCESS OF DIGITALIZING MY TEN YEARS OF MEDICAL RECORDS FOR ARCHIVAL PURPOSES
SOME OF THE RECORDS ARE STORED BY YEAR, AND VERY LARGE FILES. WHAT ADOBE PRODUCT DO YOU THINK WOULD DO THE JOB OF ARCHIVING UNDER ONE FILE/PATIENT OVER SEVERAL YEARS. WHAT WOULD BE A SEARCH FEATURE WHICH WOULD COMBINE ALL THE FILES OF A PATIENT INTO ONE IF THE FILES ARE COPIED/SCANNED IN DIFFERENT ORDER AND TIME.
