Acrobat digital signatures process

Acrobat 8.0 works wonderfully in a shared review process on my WebDav server. After finalizing my document from the collected comments, how can I initiate an approval process that collects digital signatures from external parties. The document is a manual (+11MB) and must be approved and certified as a whole. Email is out of the question due to size. I would like to use the WebDav for this purpose.

This really needs to be handled by your own document management system. Ideally you'd have each person open a copy from a web page, sign it, then submit the signature back to the server. At the end you will have FDF files with everyone's signature. These can be merged back onto the PDF for archival. I'm not sure exactly how this process needs to be managed. But I know that in order to keep the signatures valid, it has to be done carefully. For example, I think that the signatures need to the consecutive, i.e., in order for the next signature to be valid, the previous signature must already be applied. However, I think you need to do some tests to see what will work for you. It might even be better for everyone to send you thier signatures so you can sign by proxy.
