Answered

I am adding comments to a room layout. The rooms are numbered and some are very close together so I cannot use the usual sticky note since I cannot adjust the size of the sticky note.
I found some instructions on how to create a stamp so that I can adjust it's size. I did that successfully.

But, when I insert the stamp into the document it also adds a sticky note icon which I do not want and cannot figure out how to get rid of it. It also happens with all of the generic stamps that are included with Adobe.

I have spent lots of time researching and cannot find an answer. HELP !

I am using version 8 Professional.
Thank you !

You do not need to enter anything into the 'sticky note' just minimize it and leave it empty. All annotations can have additional comments added to it or not.

I don't understand the answer???? The sticky note is attached to the stamp and there is no way of getting rid of it. I only want to see the stamp not the sticky note that is attached to it.

Just minimize it and it will appear to disappear or close.

You minimize the note by clicking on the same symbol as for any window, click on the "_" symbol in the upper right hand corner of the pop-up note.

See "Add a Sticky" note in Acrobat's help for more information about the parts of a "Sticky Note".

You can open a free account at www.acrobat.com .You can also click on the stamp and the pop-up will minimize.

Here's my problem. I have a drawing with numbered rooms. I am using a stamp that is transparent and want the user to move the mouse over the room and have a description displayed. When I add a description to the stamp it adds a yellow sticky note on the screen that I do not want displayed and want it to be transparent. Is there any way to do this???? I have tried just using the sticky note but cannot resize it and that is why is moved to using a stamp. Any help would be appreciated.

Play with the Button tool (off the Advanced Editing toolbar).

In the button's properties dialog, use 'no color' for the boundary lines and the background (Appearance tab). Put text into the 'Tooltip' field (General tab). When the mouse hovers over the button the tooltip's text entry is displayed. Button fields can be sized.

Be well...
