Any way to update author name across all comments?

I've been busily highlighting passages of text across many pages, but would like to change the author name shown in the comment box. Is there any automated way to do this, or is it (I suspect) a matter of trawling my way through 100s of c/boxes?

1. View comments (click comments button in navigation pane)
2. left click in comments list panel
3a. to select all do a ctrl+A)
3b. to select other than all, hold ctrl and left click any one or more
4. right click on any comment, select properties
5. click general tab
6. in author field enter "xyz" or whatever you want
7. click OK
