I wish to apply a stamp to all pages in my document. How can I accomplish this quickly? In old versions of Adobe, I was able at least to apply a stamp to a page, highlight the stamp, copy it into the clipboard and then highlight another page in the thumbnails and paste the stampl. This would paste the stamp in the same location with the same formats. How can I accompoish this?

Hello Dimitri,
We acutally have used watermarks and headers and footers as workarounds. I have also done as you suggested but the stamp does not get placed in the exact same location on subsequent pages. It appears to default into the center of the page. Thanks for you help.

You are correct, it copies the stamp to the center of the page and not the location of the first stamp. I see this behavior too, but I'm not sure about what has changed from earlier versions.

Another way to add stamps to the entire document is to use the Preflight feature (Advanced --> Preflight) in Acrobat Pro. You can start by selecting "Edit " in the Preflight menu. Then click the "+" to create a new Profile (you can call it Stamp) and then select Fixups. Under the Fixups menu select "+" to bring up the Preflight:New Fixup menu. If you select the Pages icon you notice that the right menu lists the type of fixups available for "Pages" and Stamps is one of then. Set the stamp options you want and then this Profile can be run at any time. You can also create a droplet of this new Profile and drop your PDFs on the droplet icon and the PDF will automatically be stamped.

Have you considered using a watermark instead? You can add a watermark to all pages, a range of pages, etc. all in one step and they will be placed in the same place with the same format on every page.
But, if that is not a viable option, I am able to copy a stamp (right click, Edit, choose copy) to the clipboard and paste it to new pages in Acrobat 8.1 Pro, but it only works with the Object Select tool active ( not in Hand Tool mode). When you tried it did you have the Object Select tool active?
