We have setup a WebDav server for online review with different external people. At this state we are testing it and get some error messages:
- when we try to send/receive comments Acrobat can not resolved the email addresses
- or Acrobat just throw an error saying that the server is not available but it is running.

Different users ID are configured and The WebDav server is already accessable for external people via https.

We have installed WebDav on Linux (Slackware) and Apache 2.2.3 if it can be useful for someone to help us with the setup.

If you have some experience setting up WebDav server and encountered these problems it would great if you could give us some advice.

I'm afraid your problem is in the details. First, Acrobat does not resolve email addresses. It passes that part onto the OS, and the OS sends the email. Second, Acrobat is very touchy about the folder permissions for WebDav since it not only writes files, but also creates folders. You either need to get an expert on the spot or just keep playing around with it until it works.

Good Luck,
