Can a pop-up note not include a sticky note icon?

I have used the Highlight Text tool to create pop-ups that appear in Reader 9 when the user mouses-over a word. Everything works fine, but my client does not want the tiny sticky-note icon to appear next to the yellow highlighted words. I can't figure out any way to turn it off. Is it possible to do so?
