Commenting and expanding form fields

Our client requires a PDF form where users can enter data into form fields and also be able to add annotations (drawings, comments etc) to the form. The form fields must also expand based on the amount of data entered.

I read a one line statement in the LiveCycle 8.0 help that commenting and expanding subforms are not possible in the same PDF. Is this true and if so are there any workarounds?

Thanks

What you read is true. If you create a form in LiveCycle Designer, you can create a dynamic form with fields that can be expanded. But you cannot add comments.

If you create a form in Acrobat, you can add comments to the form, but you cannot expand the fields.

There is no workaround.
