Comments and Markup is missing

Hi there, I recently installed an Adobe update for Acrobat Professional 8.0 and somehow my comments & markup toolbar went missing. Does anyone know how to reactivate this? I looked at the knowledge base articles that show how to reactivate, by when i go to the Tools menu, there's no option for "Comments & Markup". I also am missing a Comments menu item.

I had this functionality yesterday, it's gone today - if anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

Go to the View menu -> Toolbars and select "Comments & Markup".That should do the trick!

In Acrobat X the markup comment tools are on the Comment Pane - click the word on the right side of the toolbar. The measurement tool is on the Tools pane under "Analyze".

You can access basic markup tools directly within the document, for example right-clicking allows you to place a sticky note, selecting text and pressing the Delete key strikes it out, etc.
