Customize Stamp in Acrobat 9 - w/o Illustrator or Image Edit Software

Can anyone provide guidance on updating an existing Acrobat V9 'Dynamic' stamp (the 'Revised' one), or to create a new one - without Illustrator or image editing software?

The guidance that I found on acrobatusers.com appears to be old (from V7).

I need to add a 'Dynamic' stamp to a PDF file. The stamp should say

'SUPERSEDED'

Thanks.

You need to create the stamp face as a PDF. Since Acorbat is not an authoring program or image editor, you will need to create the stamp face in another program and convert it to a PDF. MS Word, MS Paint, or Open Office should be able to perform the task. Open Office can export directly to a PDF.

Thanks for nudging me in a forward direction. I'm almost there: I added/imported the custom 'Superseded' stamp to the stamp inventory.

What's missing is the autogenerated time/date stamp: it needs to reflect the time/date that the stamp was added to the PDF - it should NOT update whenever the file is opened/printed.

I added a text field (with calculation script) to the stamp, but the calcluation is showing a static date of when I created the stamp template. Here is the calculation script. Can you nudge me further?

event.value = (new Date()).toString();
AFDate_FormatEx("h:MM tt, mmm dd, yyyy");

Thank you.
