Database Comment Repository No Longer An Option?

What ever happened to the option to use a database as a comment repository for browser based reviews? That option was listed with my initial installation of Acrobat Pro 7.0, and now that I'm on 7.09, I can't find it. I really had my heart set on using SQL as the repository. We've been using the network folder system for awhile now, and really like it, but we need the extra flexibility that a database would give us. Any ideas on how I can get this back? I'm setting the commenting preferences via embedded document javascript in each reviewed PDF currently. Perhaps I can set up the database connection similarly. The documentation for this process is astonishingly poor. I even found a few undocumented java classes in some sample code on the Acrobat Developers site.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 7.0.9, Windows

You can still do this by writing you're own collaboration functions. Look in the Online Collaboration Setup Document, and look in the Acrobat 8 SDK Samples folder for info on how to set this up.

But, you never know, the functionality may still be built into Acrobat, it's just not advertised on the UI. If you have a document created for shared review in Acrobat 7, try opening it in Acrobat 8 and see what happens.

I found the answer when a global install of reader v8 was taking out the ability on v7

It will work on v8 but I also found that by changing the version in the registry key structure it will fix v7 and also work on v9.

Adobe, you screwed up on this one and broke down a lot of review systems. You really need to re-enable this by default. Some of us using your product work in large companies using a wide range of Acrobat versions so the new stuff doesn't always work for all of us. I'm not sure who the "most users" mentioned in the document were but I know I was never polled.
