Export Comments to Word - how to?

Hello

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 6.0

When I select Document / Export Comments to Word, I get error pop up "This operation requires Microsoft Word 2002 to be installed on your system"

I have Word * 2000 * installed. Is there some way to get Adobe Pro 6.0 to recognize the Word 2000? Is there a setting in the Adobe to change it from 2002 to 2000?

Thanks
Jim

Do you have all the updates for Acrobat 6 installed?

A related question on the pdf-to-Word exporting of comments....I have successfully done the Word 2003--Acrobat Pro 7.0.5--Word 2003 roundtrip on 1 PC, and have written how-to instructions for document authors and reviewers. However, I am forced to upgrade to Acrobat Pro 8 on another PC. (Both run Windows XP.) Will this export work the same using v. 8 as it did on v. 7?
Thanks!

Hi --

In answer to the question of using export of comments to Word -- No, you can't change the program settings in Acrobat, you have to have the minimum requirement, which is Word 2002.

Sorry about that.

Hi --

Exporting comments from Acrobat 7 and Acrobat 8 are very similar. You shouldn't have any problems with your users understanding your instructional material.

I am using Adobe Professional 8 and have Word 2007. When attempting to export comments to Word I get the warning message "Adobe Acrobat Comments: this operation requires Microsoft Word 2002 or later to be installedon your system." How can I get acrobat to recognize the proper version of Word? Thank you.

3dhd,

If not already done, you may need to process Acrobat 8 updates. Dot version 8.1 intiated Office 2007 support.

Be well...
