Is it possible to auto-wrap text boxes in Acrobat Professional 7.0?

In my department, we use text boxes to comment on our PDFs with Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0. When we first started using 7.0, our text boxes would automatically snap to the size of the text (esp. if it the text box includes a short statement). Acrobat would also automatically wrap the text within the standard size text box tool.

Now, when the text is longer than the width of the box, the box expands to fit the text, all on one line. And when the text is shorter than the standard text box (horizontally and vertically), the text box remains the standard size.

What can I do to turn the auto-wrapping back on?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 7.0, Windows

Solution: In the Text field properties, click Options, and click the Multi-line check box. This should fix the problem. Make sure the submit button will export the completed form data as FDF or HTML so it will print all of it's contents.

This fix seems to be for text fields, not the text box tool on the Drawing Markups Toolbar. I tried what you suggested with a new text field, but this did not make a difference in the text boxes.

I use Acrobat Pro 9. How can I auto-wrap text boxes and fields; and also make sure the entire text typed in shows up in printing (and the box itself??)? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Where in Adobe LiveCycle Designer do I find the "text field properties"?

Select the field, then in the right tool pane, select the 'Object' tab. You will find more information about the LiveCycle Designer working space in the complete help under LiveCycle Designer's 'Help' option.

Thanks. I discovered that on the right-hand side of the screen there is a tab for Object. In the Field subfolder there is an option to Allow Multiple Lines. If I put a check mark in that box, it allows the text to wrap within the field. :)
