Line space is removed when editing textbox

the text distance is not getting correct when I use text box function.

I have bookmark and hyperlink set in my PDF file. Then I edit the text using Typewriter. I enter text in a new line. Press enter to go to next line. Then press escape to come out of typewriter. The line space is reduced (no line space remains between lines) for all lines within that control.

Can somebody please help to know why this is happening and is there anyway to avoid it.

Thank You

Can you clarify if you're using the Typewriter tool or Text Box tool? You mention both in your post.

I am having the same problem when using the text box tool. I never use the typewriter tool so I am not sure how that works. I am trying to be able to write paragraphs on PDF's which I was able to do a few versions ago. Now it removes all of the extra vertical spacing automatically.

I am having the same problem. I set the line spacing to exactly what i need it to be in the properties toolbar, but when i click out of that text box, and then go back to it, the line spacing reverts to single. driving me crazy.. please help.

Has anybody found an answer to this? It sounds like I'm having a similar problem.

When I use the typewriter tool, I hit 'enter' twice to put a line space between each paragraph as I type. When I am done typing and get out of the typewriter tool's text box, all of the line spaces disappear.

I'm running Acrobat 9 standard on Windows 7 64bit. I've been using the typewriter tool like this for years in previous versions and on 32bit systems, and this is the first I've seen this happen. Any ideas?

Try using Ctrl+enter instead of just enter to keep the line spacing.

I have the solution, by mistake of course. No logic to it. But when you hit enter to make a line space, add a couple of character spaces (with the space bar) and it works. When you click outside the box the blank line remains. This only took 3 hours of cursing.
