Whenever I use the Area Tool it draws the wrong shape.

It started when I used the Area Tool to draw a shape, then wanted to change its appearance. I had right clicked the shape and accidently selected 'Make Current Properties Default' instead of 'Properties'. Now every time I use the Area Tool. no matter what shape I click, it will always draw that same shape.

I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 on a Windows XP Pro box. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat, and have installed all the updates, but the problem remains.

Please help!

Did anyone ever figure this out I’m in the same boat and now every time I measure something it shows the same shape and color on the page. It’s hard to tell what has been measure and what still needs to be?
