Hello all,

Has anybody seen the markup tools offered at www.paperlessproofs.com?
I would be interested in knowing how this add-on was developed. Is it Java? The idea is interesting, but is not really suited as such to our needs and I'd like to see if we could come up with our own system.

Thanks for your replies.

Hi --

I am not sure how the system works, but it appears to be a set of stamps. You can create the same process for your own workflow using the Acrobat stamp comments tools. As for employing it across a system, all you need to do is create your custom stamps, save them as a custom stamp file, and they can be shared by simply storing the custom stamp file into the Acrobat stamp files on the systems of your users.

Hi Donna,

Thanks for the reply. I've already got a palette of custom stamps made up of about 10 useful proofreading markup symbols. That end of it is pretty straightforward.

I've seen a few people going on about how you can use Java scripts to do all sorts of wonderful things with Acrobat, and seeing as paperlessproofs caught my eye, I wondered if I might develop my own improved interface for our markup system. Always ready to learn a new trick, as it were.

Have a nice day.
