Reviews freezes Acrobat

Hello. Sorry my poor english. We´we bumped into a strange problem working with Acrobat 9 reviews. We use a WebDav server and reviews works nicely for about 15 people, but for one person Acrobat almost freezes as soon as she´s trying to work with comments or the review tracker. We´ve tried to reinstall Acrobat and everything works fine until we send the first pdf for review or opens the review tracker. It also works fine if I remove the commenting plug-in from the plug-ins folder witch also indicates that there is the commenting plug-in that doesn´t work properly. We also tried to compress the files in the review tracker but Acrobat freezes som badly that we can´t even get to click at compress.
I also thought the problem might be associated with some of the files that are placed on the WebDav server and that are associated with her. Is there some way to give her a new Acrobat identity without changing her email adress.
Hope someone got an answer

Can she navigate to the WebDav server outside of Acrobat? The identity used for shared reviews can be found under Edit > Preferences > Identity.Have you tried re-creating your Preferences?

To re-create the Acrobat preferences files:

1. Quit Acrobat.
2. Drag the following files from the Users/[Username]/Library/Preferences folder to the Desktop:
* Acrobat WebCapture Cookies
* Com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro_ppc_9.0.plist or com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro_x86_9.0.plist
* Acrobat Distiller Prefs and com.adobe.distiller8.plist (If you are troubleshooting an issue with Distiller.)
* The Acrobat folder, which contains preferences for forms (MRUFormsList), collaboration (OfflineDocs), and color settings (AcrobatColor Settings.csf)
3. Restart Acrobat.

Or, have you tried creating a new user profile?

Hello. Thank you for your answer.

Yes, she can navigate in the Finder to the WebDav folder. We tried to change her identity in the preferences but I can´t change her user namn, just the emailadress. That won´t be enough I think. Is there a way to unlock the identity? I thought the identity automatically was the login name on her computer. Do you think if she change her identity, she can start all over with a blank review tracker. Can I how multiple users on the same Acrobat installation?

I have another question of the similar kind. I am administrator over the webdav server and the number of reviewed documents just grows larger and larger. Is is safe for me deleting those old review files or can that cause problems if someone still has the document in his review tracker?

Kind regards// Richard

Have you tried any of the other suggestions (re-create preferences or a new user profile)?

There is also another preference for using the Login name on the comments. This is located under Edit > Preferences > Commenting "Always use Log-in Name for Author name".

Hello again, thanks for a fast respond.

We tried to recreating Preferences but many of the items you proposed didn´t exist in the folder. It did recreate the preferences anyway but however when she changed her user name she anyway had to use the same emailadress and therefor the review tracker got filled with the same links to files and it ended up just as slow again. After that we uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat 9 again. When I´m back at work on monday I will see if it worked like I hoped to. So I´ll will reply again monday evening.

You might also try running the Microsoft installer cleanup script prior to re-installing Acrobat.
