Setting PDF/A mode

Some pdfs come in as PDF/A. In order to enable these for commenting, we have to go in and change the settings. We never had to do this on the old version. This means that some of the PRE's can't comment on the document. We have found the solution to this but it causes frustration for the PRE's who have to go in change the settings so that they can comment on the files.

Is there any better way for changing this settings?

Your help will be greatful

Thank You

Perhaps the author of these PDFs doesn't realize they're PDF/A compliant -- it may benefit you to let them know. The PDF/A setting is set on a file by file basis so outside of changing the PDF/A viewing mode setting in your Preferences to allow commenting the only other option would be to individually remove the PDF/A information for each file or create a batch sequence to do this.
You can remove the PDF/A information using the Preflight tools in Acrobat Professional by doing the following:
1. In the Preflight dialog box, click Profiles.
2. Expand a compliance profile and select the Remove fixup. For example, under PDF/A Compliance,
select Remove PDF/A Information.
3. Click Analyze And Fix.
